Strange times we live in; a win is not enough to get appreciation in India anymore. This is when cricket is called religion in India! No wonders Amitabh Bachchan has expressed his disappointment in words that need to be carefully analyzed now.

Here is what the numero uno of Hindi film industry tweeted as soon as India won the match against Bangladesh:

“T 2184 -Now that I can breathe free .. WELL PLAYED INDIA !! Winning from 2 runs and 3 balls and then a hat trick on the last is incredible!”

He also appreciated the men in blue in these words:

“T 2184 -MS DHONI you were magnificent tonight vs Bangladesh ..!! It is no joke to stategise the game the way you did, right to the last ball”

Amitabh Bachchan also indulged in a bit of banter with his fans like a true cricket lover:

And from here he got serious and showed displeasure with the way commentators ignore Indian cricket team while praising others:

Amitabh Bachchan’s tweet was retweeted by Indian cricket team captain  Mahendra Singh Dhoni who wrote ‘nothing to add’:

But the actor did not simply stop there, he actually discussed the issue of commentators with other cricket fans on his Twitter account:

When a fan pointed out that the commentators acting like this could be due to ‘political correctness,’ Amitabh Bachchan said that it was unfair to the Indian team:

5His followers agreed to his point of view and Amitabh Bachchan even said compared the commentators from the Indian side with those of the other side and expressed his frustration at the raw deal that Indian players get:

Perhaps, this has been an issue for the Indian team for quite some time as even the Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also known as Captain Cool lost patience with a journalist telling him that he seemed unhappy that India had won, silencing him in the track.

But this indeed is a serious issue that must be tackled, in political correctness we should not run down our team.
