Hindu ashram worker hacked to death in Bangladesh

New York, June 10, 2016: Nityaranjan Pandey, a Hindu ashram worker at the Thakur Anukul Chandra Satsanga Paramtirtha Hemayetpurdham Ashram in Pabna, Hemayetpur Upazila, Bangladesh was stabbed to on Friday, June 10, 2016, morning.

The Hindu ashram worker, aged 60, was out on a morning walk when he was stabbed to death. The killers fled from the spot after committing the crime.

An angry Taslima Nasreen wrote that the Islamists hate non-Muslims in the nation after the news of the murder of the Hindu ashram worker came to her knowledge.

Just a few days back a Hindu Priest was killed in similar way and the unidentified militants nearly chopped off his head.

Before that another Buddhist Monk was found murdered in similarly gruesome fashion leaving the Hindu community worried about their future in the Muslim-majority Bangladesh.

Several thinkers, minority community members and Atheist bloggers have been killed in Bangladesh as extremism has spread. The government of Bangladesh has denied that the presence of the Islamic State terrorists in the nation, but it has, at the same time, unable to stop the gruesome murders that seem to have been undertaken with the sole purpose of scaring the minorities.

Due to these trying circumstances many Hindus and other communities are taking refuge in India.
